Our violin range includes 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and Full size. Viola sizes start at 1/4 up to Full size.
It is best to get an assessment from the teacher to find the correct size, however below is an approximate guide.
With the players arm and hand outstretched to the side, measure from the base of the neck to the middle of the palm.
1/16 size; up to 40 cm
1/10 size; 40 – 43 cm
1/8 size ; 43 – 47 cm
1/4 size ; 47 – 51 cm
1/2 size ; 51 – 57 cm
3/4 size ; 57 – 60 cm
4/4 size ; 60+ cm
